Sharpshooter House was opened on 13th April 1938. Its original occupants were 315th (Surrey) AA Company, Royal Engineers, a searchlight company. It was later occupied by the 4th Bn The Queen's Regiment. In 1961 it was taken over by B Squadron of the Kent and County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters). In 1967 this squadron became C (KCLY) Squadron of the newly formed Royal Yeomanry

Part of the Regimental Museum collection is on display at Sharpshooter House and the Regimental records of the County of London Yeomanry are held there. They may be seen by appointment.
