The TA Centre at Bexleyheath was built in 1939 for 73rd Searchlight Regiment Royal Engineers, later Royal Artillery. On the reconstitution of the TA in 1947, they became 608 Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA. In 1971 the Regimental Headquarters of the 71st (Yeomanry) Signal Regiment was set up there with 265 (KCLY) Signal Squadron from Bromley.
After a major refurbishment, Bexleyheath TA Centre was officially re-opened by HRH The Princess Royal, Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Corps of Signals on 30th May 1987.

Part of the Regimental Museum collection is displayed at Bexleyheath and the Regimental records of the East and West Kent Yeomanries are held there. They may be seen by appointment.
